CAPE CORAL, Fla – A Cape Coral woman hit the jackpot winning $1 million on a $30 scratch-off lottery ticket.
60-year-old Maria Lezcano chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $880,000, according to the Florida Lottery.
Lezcano bought her winning lottery ticket from Petro America, located at 3 Northeast Pine Island Road in Cape Coral. The retailer will get a kickback of $2,000 for selling the winning lottery ticket.
The lottery ticket, ‘Billion Dollar Gold Rush Supreme,’ features four top prizes of $15 million. This game also features 24 prizes of $1 million.
Florida Lottery games have paid more than $77.6 billion in prizes and made more than 3,000 millionaires while sending nearly 900,000 students to college through the Bright Futures Scholarship Program, according to Florida Lottery officials.
