Did you know that ageism is used so often, even in our humorous Hallmarks cards? Over the Hill is a common joke to our eyes. Most people see it as playful, and have bought one of these cards at some point in their life, right? This is coming from the New Yorker in me! It is a subtle act of ageism that card companies have been thriving off for years. Organizations and leaders can take this as an example and add healthier and respectful practices and communication into their companies to help encourage aging as a wise and mature process versus becoming older.
