Two big films Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan, headlined by superstars Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar respectively, were released on August 11 in theatres. Laal Singh Chaddha, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios, stars Aamir Khan Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Chaitanya Akkineni. Meanwhile, Raksha Bandhan is helmed by Aanand L Rai and stars Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar.

Both films have failed to generate the anticipated collections even though the buzz around the films was through the roof.
