Held every two years, the International AIDS Conference is one of the largest gatherings in global health – an opportunity for the world to come together to shift the latest evidence into action and accelerate the fight to end HIV.
At AIDS 2022, which is being held in Montreal, Canada from 29 July to 2 August 2022, organizations and individuals from across the Global Fund partnership will have the opportunity to look back at the tremendous progress made in the fight against AIDS over the last 20 years and strategize ways to end the epidemic.
The Global Fund currently provides 30% of all international financing for HIV programs (12% of all available resources). Since June 2021, it has invested US$22.7 billion to prevent, diagnose and treat HIV and AIDS and an additional US$3.8 billion in programs tackling both HIV and tuberculosis).
This year, as part of the Global Fund’s Seventh Replenishment, we’re calling on the world to #FightForWhatCounts to mobilize at least US$18 billion to save 20 million more lives.
