Peshawar – A total of 384 patients are under treatment for corona in three major hospitals of Peshawar including Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC), Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) and Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH), a Health Department official said here on Saturday.
While giving details, he said that 138 corona positive patients are under treatment in Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC). Total number of ventilators in HMC is 68 and 38 ventilators have been allocated for coronavirus patients. He said currently 26 patients are undergoing treatment on ventilators and 21 new coronavirus patients admitted while 18 other patients discharged after recovery and confirmed the death of two patients.
At Lady Reading Hospital, he said, the number of coronavirus patients came down to 152 and currently 14 patients are admitted in the ICU with 09 new patients admitted during last 24 hours.
However, situation in Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) regarding corona patients is much satisfactory, he said, adding, KTH, Peshawar, have 122 beds for corona patients and corona patients are being admitted on 94 beds.
The health official said that KTH has 28 ventilators for corona patients and 21 patients are on intensive care bipolar and ventilators and 42 patients infected with corona are undergoing treatment at HDU.
He disclosed that there were 31 corona patients on low oxygen and confirmed the death of three corona patients during last 24 hours. He said on Saturday 2 more corona patients were admitted, and only 28 beds of corona are left vacant in the hospital.
