BAHAWALPUR – The Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Barani Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) Chakwal decided to cooperate in teaching, research activities and joint ventures in the field of Chakwal Horticulture.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Friday between the faculty members of both institutions.
Vice-Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr Athar Mahboob and Director Barani Agricultural Research Institute Chakwal Muhammad Rafique Dogar. Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Naveed Akhtar, Registrar Prof. Dr Moazzam Jameel, Chairman Department of Horticulture Dr Muhammad Nafees were also present on the occasion.
Later, Vice-Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr Athar Mahboob and Director Barani Agriculture Research Institute Muhammad Rafique Dogar participated in the monsoon tree plantation campaign and planted trees at Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
