ISLAMABAD – The country on Friday witnessed a slight increase in daily death count due to Covid-19 as 17 deaths due to the deadly virus were reported during the last 24 hours. Earlier, the daily death count remained in single-digit during this week. According to the data released by National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), as many 659 fresh cases of Covid-19 were recorded during last 24 hours out of 45,093 coronavirus tests were conducted across the country. The overall positivity ratio remained at 1.46 percent. This is the 12th consecutive day on which Pakistan has reported a coronavirus positivity rate of less than two percent. The Covid-19 infections are decreasing in Pakistan, with 600 new infections were being reported on average each day during the last couple of days. Pakistan has administered at least 102,067,945 doses of COVID-19 vaccines so far.
