ISLAMABAD – Shoaib Sarwar, former Deputy Consul General Los Angeles now serving in Prime Minister’s Office, has received a Certificate of US Congressional Recognition for his efforts in connecting US E-Commerce Giant Amazon with Pakistan.
Shoaib Sarwar served as Deputy Consul General in Consulate General of Pakistan Los Angeles from June 2017 to May 2021.
He was the main contact person of Embassy of Pakistan Washington DC which under the leadership of Pakistan’s Ambassador to Washington DC, Asad Majeed Khan, engaged with Amazon from 2019 to 2021 and convinced the organisation to change its policy about Pakistan and include Pakistan in the list of countries from where residents can do seller registration and sell their products on Amazon platform.
