ISLAMABAD:
The four “missing” lawmakers of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) have finally come to the fore and confirmed that they were present in Islamabad.
Rumours were rife that four disgruntled members of provincial assembly (MPAs) — Akbar Aksani, Bushra Rind, Laila Tarin and Mahjabeen Sheeran — had disappeared ahead of tabling of no-confidence motion against Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan.
In a video statement issued late Friday, Aksani said “some friends” spread the rumours that they had gone missing.
He added that he had been in Islamabad for “some personal work” and added that he was with Balochistan Assembly Speaker Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and will reach Quetta tomorrow.

The discontented members of the ruling party also announced supporting the no-confidence motion against CM Kamal.
The disgruntled members of the Balochistan Assembly on Wednesday tabled a no-confidence motion against the chief minister.
The motion, backed by 33 of the 65 provincial assembly members, was moved by Food Minister and BAP leader Abdul Rehman Khetran.
The text of the resolution read that unrest and unemployment had risen due to the poor governance of the chief minister.
It added that Kamal was running the affairs of the province as if he was the “only wise person” in the government.
Khetran said five of their members had gone “missing”, fearing that five more would also go missing in the next few days in a bid to fail the movement.
Clarifying the rumours in a video earlier today, CM Kamal said the accusation regarding missing provincial assembly members was uncalled for.
“Some members had to correct themselves that they were not missing and were there. Even their signatures were available on the application submitted to the Balochistan Assembly speaker,” CM Kamal said.
