The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has extended restrictions on entrant travellers to Pakistan until October 31, as they will be subjected to testing and quarantine requirements in accordance with procedure.
Inbound visitors from the 12 category C countries, on the other hand, will only be permitted if they are granted an exemption by a committee in accordance with the current procedure.
A notification issued by the CAA on Friday said international travellers from any country (falling in category A and B) are required to possess valid negative PCR test certification conducted within the 72 hours prior to commencement of travel to Pakistan.
The notification said that international travellers to Pakistan from category “C” countries will only be allowed subject to exemption by committee as per procedure in vogue.
It said Pakistanis whose return from Category C countries is scheduled till Oct 31 may travel to Pakistan without grant of special exemption and while in possession of a valid negative PCR test results conducted within the 72 hours prior to commencement of travel to Pakistan.
The 12 category “C” countries are South Africa, Iran, Iraq, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Mongolia, Mexico, Philippines, Slovenia, Thailand and Trinidad and Tobago.
