ISLAMABAD – Pakistan People’s Party yesterday said the opposition should table a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Central Information Secretary PPP Parliamentarians Shazia Marri alleged that the government was crushing people under the rising inflation and worst economic policies. “The prices of flour, rice, ghee, pulses and vegetables are beyond the purchasing power of a common man in the country,” she said in a statement.
“The opposition parties should table a no-confidence motion against Imran Khan in order to oust him,” she added. Marri, while expressing grave concern over the mounting inflation and unemployment, said that the middle class had been living below the poverty line now while the federal government was not caring for people. She said that the leader of opposition Shehbaz Sharif should bring no-confidence motion against PM Imran Khan as soon as possible. “This is the high time for bringing a no-confidence motion against (Chief Minister) Usman Bazdar in the Punjab province as well. It would be easier to oust Imran Khan after removing Usman Buzdar in Punjab,” she maintained.
The PPP leader said it will be injustice with the people “to allow Imran Khan to remain in power because the nation wants to get rid of this government.”
