Eid Milad-un-Nabi, a day of spiritual significance in Islam is being celebrated across the country with religious zeal and fervor, renewing the pledge to transform their lives in line with the Islamic principles and disseminate teachings of the Holy Prophet Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH).
The day will dawn with a 31 and 21 gun-salute in the federal and provincial capitals respectively to pay homage to Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Sallam Khatam-un-Nabiyeen, Rahmat ul Lil Aalmeen.
Special prayers will be offered in mosques for peace, progress, and prosperity of the country, besides the early liberation of Palestine and Kashmir.
State and religious organizations, Milad committees, and individuals have planned a number of activities including processions, seminars, conferences, and discussion programs to mark the annual event.
Federal and provincial governments have already prepared contingency security plans with coordination of other law enforcement agencies to guard the processions and other events to be held on the day.
In this regard, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Ministry of Religious Affairs to celebrate Jashan-e-Eid Miladun Nabi Sallallaho Alyhe Wasallam across the country in an unprecedented manner.
He has also directed the federal ministers and members of parliament to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi in their constituencies with full zeal.
Moreover, all government and private buildings, including streets, markets, and mosques have been decorated with colorful lights and buntings.
