ISLAMABAD – The 35th publication anniversary of The Nation newspaper was marked on Friday with a message and vivid pledge by the Managing Director Rameeza Majid Nizami to continue with the newspaper policy as a harbinger of high standard journalism in this age of fake news.
The newspaper was launched on October 1, 1986 from Lahore by the legend of independent journalism in Pakistan late Majid Nizami, the Editor-in-Chief of daily Nawa-i-Waqt.
Apart from this, it was simultaneously published from Islamabad and Karachi. From day one, the newspaper has been playing a leading role in defending and promoting Pakistan’s key national interests while upholding the high standards of journalism and integrity.
The newspaper is proud to have produced the country’s finest and influential journalists and columnists.
It has remained one of the most prominent newspapers, not only in Pakistan but also abroad. The newspaper’s digital presence and outreach has also increased manifold in recent times. Its print edition is now published simultaneously from Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Gwadar.
