ISLAMABAD – US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman is arriving in Islamabad Thursday (tomorrow) on a two-day official visit to hold talks with Pakistan leaders on prevailing situation in the region including Afghanistan and Pakistan-US bilateral relations.
Diplomatic sources told the Nation the agenda of talks have been prepared which covers Pakistan-US bilateral ties, Afghanistan and regional situation including Pakistan India ties, and bilateral cooperation in counter terrorism.
Sources told that Pakistan would share its position on humanitarian and security situation in Afghanistan with top US official.
Sources said Pakistan would also share its concerns with the visiting US senior official over growing human rights violations in IIOJK and baseless propaganda by Indian army against Pakistan.
Pakistan would take senior US official into confidence over its efforts to counter the terrorists financing and counter terrorism in the region.
Sources said US would raise its demand for using Pakistan air space for drone attacks against terrorists safe heavens in Afghanistan.
