Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services identified the state’s first case of West Nile virus in a human Friday. DHHS said the person who tested positive was not hospitalized. The case was identified in the Elkhorn-Logan Valley Health Department area which covers Burt, Cuming, Madison, and Stanton counties.
