The Ranbir Kapoor – Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra has been steadily gathering steam. As the film approaches its release on September 9, the Ayan Mukherji directorial that also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy with guest appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone has become a rage. In fact, Brahmastra has become one of the most talked about and keenly anticipated releases of recent times. But will the buzz and hype surrounding the film, translate into box office numbers is the question of the hour.

As per advance booking reports, Brahmastra has been enjoying a superb spate of advance bookings. After the national multiplex chain PVR Cinemas claimed that the film has sold over 1.50 lakh tickets, now another national chain, INOX cinemas announced that Brahmastra has clocked over 1.25 lakh ticket sales for its opening weekend. This coupled with the bookings from Cinepolis and other smaller chains, and single screens it is expected that Brahmastra will open with a bang.

Based on the advance booking rate, trade predictions state that Brahmastra will open on a thunderous note. In fact, reports state that Brahmastra will open to double digits, and could even surpass the opening day business of the Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi, which has remained the highest Bollywood opening day grosser post the pandemic. If that wasn’t enough, a few reports also claim that Brahmastra could see its collections even crossing the Rs. 30 cr. mark on Day 1.
