After a modest start of Rs. 3.55 cr, the business of the Vivek Agnihotri directorial witnessed exponential growth with each passing day. Now at the close of its second week in theatres, the total collections of the Anupam Kher starrer are pegged at Rs. 207.33 cr.

Collecting Rs. 110.03 cr in its second week, The Kashmir Files surpasses the Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi that collected Rs. 45.57 cr, the Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi that collected Rs. 36.33 cr, and even the Ranveer Singh starrer 83 that collected Rs. 25.13 cr. In fact, The Kashmir Files now ranks as the highest second week grosser post the pandemic.

Going forward, the business of The Kashmir Files is expected to see a dip in collections with the release of the mega budget film RRR. However, trade remains optimistic stating that despite the new release, The Kashmir Files will manage to sustain its business over the coming weekend.
