Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) grew again on Saturday to emerge as the top film amongst all that are currently in the running. Though Tiger Shroff starrer Heropanti 2 and Ajay Devgn-Amitabh Bachchan’s Runway 34 are the new releases of the week while the Yash led film is in its third week, as has been seen in the past that such is kind of rampage that some set films have created that new releases have struggled to find attention. This happened when The Kashmir Files, RRR (Hindi) and KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) were running and then new releases like Bachchhan Paandey, Attack and Jersey suffered despite being well made.

While Heropanti 2 brought in Rs. 5.50 crores more to stand at Rs. 12 crores, KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) grew to Rs. 7.25 crores to find itself at Rs. 360.31 crores. Today, KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) should comfortably step into the double digit zone and while Heropanti 2 will grow, one hopes it gets to Friday levels of Rs. 7 crores at least.

Meanwhile, Runway 34 has shown growth on Saturday as collections moves from Rs. 3.50 crores to Rs. 5.25 crores. Any sort of growth is always welcome but still a lot needs to be done by the Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan starrer in days to come. Ideally, it should add in at least Rs. 7-8 crores more to its current total of Rs. 7.75 crores. As long as that happens and the Rs. 15 crores weekend is attained, industry can anticipate good footfalls today and tomorrow.
