It was KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) all the way as the film ruled from the top. The collections were not at all impacted in the week gone by as close to Rs. 50 crores came in, even though Heropanti 2 and Runway 34 had also released. Audiences stayed on to be mighty excited about the film and floodgates opened further from Tuesday onwards owing to Eid.

Box Office: Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) stands at Rs. 397.95 cr; Heropanti 2 and Runway 34 are low

Currently, the film stands at Rs. 397.95 crores and that’s a mind-blowing feat indeed, especially considering the fact that it’s a dubbed film. It has been seen that sequel to a hit dubbed film from south goes to the next level, as seen earlier with Baahubali series and now KGF. While Baahubali: The Conclusion (Hindi) did almost five times the business of Baahubali: The Beginning, KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) did almost 10 times the business of KGF: Chapter 1 (Hindi). With Pushpa (Hindi) being a super success already; one waits to see how does Pushpa 2 (Hindi) end up doing.

Meanwhile, neither Heropanti 2 nor Runway 34 have managed to do well at the box office. Heropanti 2 stayed decently on Friday but that just about turned out to be its best day. Post that it couldn’t sustain (except for the day after Eid) and in the process has folded up around Rs. 26.50 crores*.

On the other hand the first week of Runway 34 too was on similar lines as it stood at 25 crores*. Eventually, both the films would fold up under the Rs. 30 crores mark and there won’t be much to differentiate between their eventual lifetime numbers.
