The Alia Bhatt – Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra directed by Ayan Mukherji released last Friday. Also featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy the film that was released across over 5000 screens in the domestic market was said to be one of the most anticipated releases this year. In fact, Brahmastra came with immense hopes and expectations and has managed to not just live up to the same, but even surpass expectations.

In this box office report, we look at the opening weekend collections Brahmastra while comparing the same to Alia Bhatt’s previous releases. Collecting Rs. 120.75 cr in just three days of its release, Brahmastra has emerged as Alia Bhatt’s highest opening weekend grosser. Not surprisingly, the business of the film has registered higher first weekend collections than Alia’s previous releases like RRR, which collected Rs. 79.50 cr, Kalank which collected Rs. 62.75 cr, Badrinath Ki Dulhania which collected Rs. 43.05 cr, and even Gangubai Kathiawadi which had collected Rs. 39.12 cr.

Currently still running in theatres, Brahmastra is expected to continue to grow father. In fact, looking at the box office trend the film has been enjoying trade opines that the business of Brahmastra will be more or less stable in the coming week.
