Being one of most awaited releases of recent times, the film opened on a thunderous note across all markets. With 265 million USD [Rs. 2,052.33 cr.] coming in from the international markets and a further 185 million USD [Rs. 1,431.49 cr.] from the local domestic market the film has emerged as the second release to dominate the box office after Spider-Man: No Way Home which hit screens a while back.

The domestic opening is 2.1x the opening of original Doctor Strange (85 mil. USD), 7th biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) opening, 11th place all-time behind Avengers: Age of Ultron (191.2 mil. USD) and Incredibles 2 (182.6 mil. USD)

Going further, with positive reviews and strong word of mouth, not forgetting the franchise value the film comes with trade expectations are that the business of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will continue to see further growth.
