The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi was released over a week ago, and since then the Alia Bhatt starrer has been doing brisk business at the box office. After opening on a strong note the business of the film witnessed immense growth in collections as the days progressed. Now after just 10 days in theatres the Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi has managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark.

Gangubai Kathiawadi Box Office Collections: Gangubai Kathiawadi becomes Alia Bhatt's 5th film to enter the 100 cr. Club; collects Rs. 102.60 cr

When compared to Alia Bhatt’s previous release, collecting Rs. 105.26 cr since its releases, Gangubai Kathiawadi has become Alia’s overall 5th release to achieve this feat. In terms of being the quickest film to achieve Rs. 100 cr at the box office, Gangubai Kathiawadi ranks as Alia’s second-fastest film to cross Rs. 100 cr, the first being Gully Boy collected Rs. 100.30 cr in 8 days of its release. Also on the list are Alia Bhatt’s other releases like Raazi which collected Rs. 102.41 cr in 17 days of its release, Badrinathi Ki Dulhania collected Rs. 100.74 cr in 14 days of its release and 2 States that collected Rs. 102.13 cr in 24 days. With Gangubai Kathiawadi cross the Rs. 100 cr mark, Alia Bhatt now joins Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Shraddha Kapoor, each of whom has five releases that have achieved this feat.

Currently, Gangubai Kathiawadi still continues to run in theatres with audiences patronizing the film over new releases. Looking at the current trend it is estimated that the business of Gangubai Kathiawadi will see further growth in the coming days. Now all that remains to be seen is whether the film manages to cross the Rs. 120 cr mark before the release of the Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam later this week.
